Uroš Petrač started his singing career as a young boy in Slovenian youth choir Veter with conductor Urša Lah. In rather short time Uroš showed great talent for singing. He decided to audition for music schol in Ljubljana. After successful audition in 2001 at Konservatorium in Ljubljana he started singing studies with teachers Tatjana Vasle and Doroteja Cestnik – Spasić. In year 2002 Uroš already aimed for a national regional competition, where he earned 94,50 points and golden plaquette which assured him to sing on a national Grand Prix competition of young musicians of Slovenia. In March 2002 on Grand Prix of Slovenia, Uroš gets second place with 97,75 points and 2nd reward in his category.
In June 2003 Uroš took his talent further. He auditioned for Royal Conservatorium in The Hague, and successfully got through.
Uroš graduated from classical singing in January 2008. Same year he applied for Master studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag with his singing mentor Barbara Pearson and research coach Bert Mooiman. Uros got his Master of music degree in June 2010 in direction of Italian Belcanto music – The Romantic Era. His repertioire reaches from opera, oratorio and lied to early music. Uros was a member of the Dutch Opera studio ensemble for the season 2012/2013.
Uroš has a successful list of recitals, concerts and performances which he did in Slovenia, Germany, The Netherlands, South Korea and toher countries. The most important performances Uroš did are various Bach cantatas and masses, arias in Johns passion, Uriel from Haydn's The Creation, evangelist in Schutz and Keiser passion, Mozart's ''Spatzenmesse'' and Requiem, Bruckner's requiem, opera-musical The Vice, Page in Verdi's Rigoletto, De Falla's Il Retablo de Maese Pedro, Gilbert&Sullivan's Trial by jury, W.A.Mozart Bastien und Bastienne, Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Orpheus in La Descente d'Orphee by Charpentier and Linfea in Cavalli's La Calisto with Nederlandse Opera Studio, Offenbach's Abendwind on ITs festival Amsterdam, Nemorino in Donzetti's L'elisir d'amore at 25th Anniversary of Muzic theater Amsterdam and festival Opera aan Zee, recital with Bert Mooiman on a festival PGV – Avditorij Portorož (Piranski Glasbeni Večeri), Beethoven's An die Ferne Geliebte in Utrecht's Early Music festival.

In 2015 Uroš sang at the production Zingen bij de Opera - Nationale Opera in Amsterdam in the Mozart's Die Zauberflote, where he debuted with the role of Monostatos.

Uroš Petrač, tenor

De Sloveense tenor Uroš Petrač studeerde bij professor Tatjana Vasle en Doroteja Cestnik-Spasić op het Conservatorium van Ljubljana. In 2002 behaalde hij een tweede plaats in de Grand Prix van Slovenië.

In 2003 vervolgde Uroš zijn zangopleiding aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium  in Den Haag. Hij studeerde onder leiding van Barbara Pearson en Rita Dams. Hij behaalde in 2008 zijn bachelor diploma en 2010 zijn master diploma. zijn repertoire reikt van opera, oratorium en lied tot oude muziek. Uroš was lid van het ensemble van de Nederlandse Opera Studio van het seizoen 2012/2013.

In Slovenië, Duitsland, Verenigde Staten, Ierland en Zuid - Korea heeft Uroš verschillende recitals en concerten uitgevoerd waaronder diverse Bach cantates en missen, Mozart requiem en "Spatzenmesse", Bruckner's Requiem en Uriel in Haydn's Die Schopfung.

Hij vertolkte rollen in verschillende opera’s zoals; Bastien in Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne, Monostatos in Die Zauberflote in Frankrijk en in 2015 in jong talent programma bij de Nationale Opera, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, de "page" in Verdi's Rigoletto, Nemorino in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, Orpheus in La descente d'Orphee van Charpentier, Linfea in Cavalli's La Calisto en Alfred en Blind in Die Fledermaus van Strauss.

Sinds augustus 2015 is Uros in dienst van het Groot Omroep Koor als eerste tenor. Hiernaast houdt hij zich nog steeds bezig met verschillende soloprojecten.
